Fluoride is a mineral; not a medication. It exists naturally in our water supply. Studies have proven that the right amount of fluoride is beneficial to our health; just enough to protect our teeth. It is an important nutrient for healthy teeth.

Did you know that for most cities, every $1 invested in fluoridation saves about $38 in costs to treat dental related issues. The most cost effective way to build healthy communities and prevent tooth decay is fluoridation.

Fluoridated water + Toothpaste = less tooth decay. Toothpaste alone is good; but not good enough. In fact most pediatricians will recommend fluoride tablets for their young patients. Babies and young children need fluoride to strengthen their teeth, to last a lifetime.

In 2010, a study confirmed that the fluoridated water consumed as a young child makes the loss of teeth due to decay less likely 40 or 50 years later.

The CDC cited fluoridated drinking water as one of the “10 great public health achievements of the 20th century”.
